Dr. Najeebullah Shaheed was born on August 6, 1947. He belonged to the Ahmadzai branch of the Pashtun tribe of Ghiljai. Comrade Najibullah, who was influenced by Marxism during his student days, studied medicine at Kabul University with the main goal of treating social ills. What was the merger with?
He continued to serve in various positions after the revolution, including the head of the Afghan intelligence "Khad". In 1986, Comrade Najib was appointed as the General Secretary of the "Khalk Democratic Party" and on May 4 of the same year, he took oath as the fourth President of Socialist Afghanistan. His whole life was spent as a revolutionary soldier and he stood against American imperialism and its fanaticism. He used to say that "American imperialism has no sympathy for Afghanistan or Afghans. It only wants to occupy our land and use it for its own ambitions."
wants and the revolutionary government is the biggest obstacle in its way. If those who spread their hands for American weapons and dollars consider it as a friend, they are mistaken. The goal of American imperialism is only the destruction of Afghanistan.
Awami National Party General Secretary Mian Iftikhar Hussain is one of the few Pakistani politicians who have had meetings with Dr. Najeeb. He says once I was staying in Kabul during the winter season. It was the worst period of civil war and chaos. At night someone knocked on the door of our apartment where we were staying with some friends. When the door was opened, we were surprised to see Afghan President Dr. Najib standing alone at the door without any security. He wrapped the body with a warm shawl. I told him, President, the conditions are not favorable, don't go around like this, instead of coming, we should have been called.
Dr. Najeeb replied with a Pashto tappa
Translation: (I belong to the homeland and the homeland is mine
I can even sacrifice my life for my country.)
Dr. Najib said that we have two options either to live our whole life with the yoke of slavery hanging around our necks or to live and die as a proud and free nation. Dr. Najeeb often recited this tapa at the gatherings of his friends.
(The rustling that is heard while walking
I walk around with the chain of your slander around my neck.)
Dr. Najibullah freed Afghanistan from imperial bonds, abolished the Swara system, outlawed the valor system, abolished feudalism, and distributed more than 30 acres of land to landless farmers, education, and health. The facilities were provided free of charge. These were actions that dealt a huge blow to global imperialism.
Dr. Najibullah Shaheed, the most respected leader of the Afghan people in the twentieth century, the president of the country, and the great enlightened thinker of Asia was a principled politician and a wise man who is still today because of the clear predictions based on the global situation and the future of Afghanistan. It is alive and active in the heart and mind.
